Food is
primarily a pleasure but it is also the origin of diseases, sometimes serious.
Weight problems are increasing: overweight and obesity affects 35% of adults
worldwide and involves more and more children. Its complications in endocrine
(diabetes), cardiovascular (hypertension, metabolic syndrome), articular
(osteoarthritis), and its potential psychological impact, explain why it is
necessary to support it in a multidisciplinary manner. Food-related diseases,
such as food allergies, lactose intolerance or gluten intolerance, are also
increasing. It is therefore strongly recommended to find a happy medium between
pleasure and balance.
